The Wines
Indigenous varieties, natural winemaking, minimal intervention. From luminous white to deep red.

The range
Three indigenous Cretan varieties, all from mountain vineyards across Rethymno. Vidiano, a white, is this land’s flagship, and its home is the hinterland of Rethymno. Thrapsathiri, a white grape too and equally native here, and the red Liatiko. In the century-old vineyards, though, nothing stands alone — monoculture is a habit of modern farming: in the old plots you will also find Plyto, Melissaki, Kotsifali and Mavroromeiko planted among the rest.
The winemaking is minimal-intervention. Native yeasts, no additives, no filtration, very little sulphur: wines that hold all of Crete inside them.

Vidiano, Young Vines
White · 100% Vidiano · Mélambes
From young vines of 5–15 years. The liveliest expression of the variety.
Three dry-farmed plots at Mélambes, 650 metres up. Against the restrained charm of the old vines, the young ones give a more spontaneous, aromatic profile. Six months on the fine lees.

- 02
Vidiano, Old Vines “Amygdalos”
White · 100% Vidiano · Mélambes
Single terroir, vines of 90–140 years.
From the Amygdalos site at Mélambes, on the south-western flank of the mountain: a pre-phylloxera vineyard of 90–140 years. High altitude, a soil of schist, sand and clay, and the sea air off the Libyan Sea. Complex on the nose, ripe yet lively and firm at once, it impresses through sheer complexity. 11 months on the fine lees.

- 03
Vidiano, Old Vines “Rhea”
White · 100% Vidiano · Fourfouras
Single terroir, vines of 90–140 years.
From Fourfouras, in the heart of the Amari valley at the foot of Psiloritis. A wine of real concentration and, by Cretan standards, striking, lively acidity. One year on the fine lees.

- 04
Thrapsathiri
White · 100% Thrapsathiri · Mélambes
From young and old vines alike, a wine of real singularity, with sharp acidity and low alcohol. It ages distinctively, developing petrol notes in the wine.

- 05
Field Blend
White · Single terroir · Mélambes
Vidiano, Thrapsathiri, Melissaki, Plyto, Liatiko, Kotsifali Mavroromeiko
Seven varieties, all planted together in plots over 100 years old. It is made the traditional way, with every variety picked at the same moment and all the grapes macerated together.
The label honours Mr Pavlos K., owner, collaborator and by now a very close friend of Iliana’s, who helped her from the first moment she started and then handed over his own vines, on which she first experimented with this traditional method of winemaking. Eleven months on the fine lees.

- 06
“Lefkos”
White · 60% Vidiano & 40% Thrapsathiri
The estate’s signature white blend. A wine created because of the 2022 fire — it was to be temporary, to cover the shortfall of wine that year, but in the end it was loved and it stayed!
Younger vineyards in various villages of Rethymno such as Spíli, Petrochóri, Skepastí. Eight months on the lees gave it volume.

- 07
Liatiko Rosé
Rosé · 100% Liatiko
A gastronomic, Mediterranean-style rosé with real extraction.
Another wine created because of the fire. Grapes from various villages of Rethymno such as Fourfouras, Monastiraki, Platania, Vatos, Spíli. Mild tannins and fresh fruit, which make it an ideal match for the dishes of Greek cooking and beyond.

- 08
Liatiko
Red · 100% Liatiko · Meronas
An unusually firm Liatiko, which owes its character to the particular terroir of Meronas. Nine months in old oak, stainless steel and concrete. Silky, with years ahead of it.
Rustic in character, with a very long maceration and nine months in a stainless steel tank and a used 500-litre oak barrel.
